THE BICKERTON CHALLENGE

(Supporting HELP 4 HEROES)

Three circular rides 104 miles, 51 miles and 32 miles.

Taking place on Sunday 25^th July 2010.

Starting from Bickerton Village Hall.

Entrance fee £20

Sponsor money collected will go to Help 4 Heroes Appeal Fund.

My eldest daughter Tracy has petitioned the Prime Minister with the following petition:

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Classify High Visibility clothing and accessories zero rated for VAT purposes.
Protective Clothing is currently rated zero for VAT purposes in order to encourage people to purchase and remain safe.
High visibility clothing and accessories, such as bands, should be treated likewise. These items are highly effective for people such as cyclists but are extremely expensive.
Additionally, if commuting cyclists felt safer on our very busy and dangerous roads, perhaps fewer would return to their cars over the winter months, as encouraged by other legislation.
