West Cheshire Lunch

A picture of some of our hardier members cycling to the Wirral for the lunch. We were originally a larger group, but a coming together of two of our members (see Phil Guy or Chris Wilkinson for details) and a series of punctures meant a fragmented arrival.
Phil Guy claimed Best-on-Standard in 50 mile Championship with +31:34, 1^st in 60+ category in the Points Series and a Silver medal in Vets BAR Championship with +130:50.
Chris Wilkinson capped a fine season by finishing 1^st Junior in 10 mile Championship with a 23:34, 1^st in Junior Point Series and 1^st in Junior BAR competition with average speed 24.694 mph.
Leah Leonard finished fastest lady in 25 mile Championship with a 1:05:00, a personal best in her first full year of time trialling.
Bryan Cliff was first winner of the Alf Jones Memorial Trophy in 25 mile Championship with 58:27, 1^st 50+ and 4^th in the Points Series and a Bronze medal with a +100:34 in Vets Championship.
Jim Gresty claimed 1^st in Vets Championship with a record +165:26, 3^rd in Senior BAR with an average speed of 22.976 mph. In the Vets Awards, Jim claimed Best-on-Standard in 10 mile with a +8:34, 100 mile with a +102:00 and in the 12 Hours with +61.06 miles.
Alan Roberts kindly donated a new trophy to the Association for 30 mile Championship and is pictured presenting it to Dave Crawley of Fibrax Wrexham RC.

Rebecca Leaper claimed fastest lady in 100 mile Championship with 4:45:52, fastest lady in 12 Hour Championship with 231.76 miles and 3^rd place Ladies BAR with an average speed of 21.795 mph.

The combined talents of Rebecca Leaper, Bryan Cliff, Jim Gresty, Warren Horton and Phil Guy claimed the team awards for 25 mile Championship with a 3:02:27 and 100 Mile Championship with 13:15:05.
